North American Aviation made the BC-1 of 1937, that was North American's first combat aircraft. Their twin-engine B-25 Mitchell bomber achieved fame in the Doolittle raid and was used in all WWII combat theaters of operation. Pin-Ups and WWII aircraft were two images that helped define the decade of the 1940's.
