As we begin our *18th* year of service to those who have stepped up to serve our Country, Pin-Ups For Vets is very proud to introduce our third fundraiser challenge coin, "Beyond The Call." In 2022, we were very honored to be recognized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars with the national "Beyond The Call " award. We thought this would make a wonderful theme for our new challenge coin, allowing us to pay tribute to our female U.S. Veteran volunteer Ambassadors. Our ladies have completed their military service, but they continue to volunteer to serve their fellow brother and sister Veterans. Their volunteerism is a testament to their character and shows them to be caring and still dedicated to the well-being of our service members and Veterans. We like to refer to this as "service after service."
Our new challenge coin reflects the patriotism of our U.S. Veteran Ambassadors with the red, white, and blue color theme, as well as the addition of the stars and stripes. Our pin-up girl, with her signature hair flower, proudly carries the American flag, as she volunteers to "pay it forward to our heroes." The second side of the coin honors our pin-up Ambassadors who have gone "beyond the call" to travel across the U.S. to make thousands of personal visits to deliver gifts of appreciation and to boost morale for our hospitalized Veterans in VA and military hospitals.
Your purchase of this fundraiser coin will help us continue our mission to support VA Hospital therapy departments with new rehabilitation equipment, to ship out care packages filled with gifts for our hospitalized Veterans and deployed Troops, to buy needed items for our homeless Veterans and Vets transitioning into housing, to do morale-boosting makeovers and give days of pampering to military spouse caretakers.
