The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was a World War II American fighter aircraft. Developed to a United States Army Air Corps requirement, the P-38 had distinctive twin booms and a single, central nacelle containing the cockpit and armament. Named "fork-tailed devil" and "two planes, one pilot" by the Japanese, the P-38 was used in a number of roles, including dive bombing, level bombing, ground attack, night fighting, photo reconnaissance missions, and extensively as a long-range escort fighter when equipped with drop tanks under its wings.
This P38 clock measures 14 inches by 14 inches and weighs in at 3 lb(s). This clock is hand made in the USA using heavy gauge American steel and a process known as sublimation, where the image is baked into a powder coating for a durable and long lasting finish. This clock includes an American-made quartz clock movement (requires one AA battery) for years of accurate time keeping and is covered with a clear acrylic lens.
